About Us

Rocky River Bush Band was originally formed in 1980 for the inaugural Laura Folk Fair in the Mid-North of South Australia ("...where the Rocky River flows"). The Band is actually based in the City of Onkaparinga (30-40 mins south of Adelaide) and has since developed into one of Australia's foremost folk bands, featuring some of South Australia's leading folk musicians.

Rocky River has been
performing at
major festivals in Australia for 24 years and has four International tours to its credit.

We specialise in traditional and contemporary Australian folk & bush songs, Anglo/Celtic music and have a special focus on Sea Shanties and Songs of the Sea.
